Already an established gardening antiques dealer, Maria identified a golden ‘gap-in-the-market’ opportunity after several customers had come into her shop asking where they could find quality, traditional deckchair canvas.
“No one seems to do it in those widths anymore… especially in those nice bright colours” became something Maria began hearing more and more.
And saddened by the thought of all those once-sturdy wooden deckchair frames slowly crumbling to dust in countless garden sheds, Maria decided something must be done…
Once the finest fabric in the coolest colours had been successfully sourced, Maria began selling deckchair widths in the shop. And with that, a whole new business was born…
And now our new fabrics for 2008 are arriving together with a fabulous range of trimmings, bobble fringes, jute flowers & spiral cords to enhance your deckchair, curtain or cushion…
